Domaine des Cavarodes

Domaine Labet is a family-run estate in the village of Rotalier, in the southern Jura, founded by Alain and Josie Labet in 1974. Their dedication to thoughtful winemaking is evident across generations. Alain was one of the early pioneers of single-parcel bottlings and topped-up whites in Jura, paving the way for a more precise expression of the region’s unique terroirs.

Since his retirement in 2013, his son Julien has taken up the mantle alongside his siblings, Charline, an oenologist, and Romain, a viticulturist. Together, they have gone even further in their efforts to extract the essence of Jura and put it in your glass, through organic viticulture and low-intervention winemaking.

What makes their wines so special is their ability to tell a story of time and place. The terroir, the Jurassic soils and the old vines come together to put a little piece of Jura history in your glass. If you want to learn more about them, we highly recommend the documentary A Small Place On Earth.
